Circlesong Night – La Nuit Circulaire

Nuit du Circlesong - La nuit circulaire

31st august – 1st september 2024

We are delighted to welcome you to La Nuit Circulaire, a unique immersive experience into the heart of a vocal, rhythmic and vibrational connection.

Facilitated by Giulia Matteucci (Bolognia-Italy), Guillermo Rozenthuler (London-UK) and Amaël Ferrando (St Cézaire-France), this night is our invitation to enter together into another sense of time: the time of the body, of sound and of being.

This event is open to all those who want to offer their nature and their voice to bring the Circle to life and vibration. No need to be an experienced singer or musician. Places are limited.

Circlesongs will be the common thread during the night, combined with other rhythmic, somatic and meditative practices, to encourage an all-round experience of being together, sharing sound, creativity, movement and stillness.

Everyone will have the space to sing, move, stretch, dance, meditate, or even sleep a few hours in the room, while remaining engaged with the collective Pulse.

In the circular night, it is also our relationship as humans, an integral part of the biosphere that we are contemplating together. Where do we belong? The cycles of day and night, the cycles of the seasons that make life possible on earth, the constant cycles of death and rebirth, the circularity of the respiratory cycle…

The circle is a place of connection and co-creation, where every voice is precious.

Amaël Ferrando - Chanteur, Animateur Circlesongs

Amaël Ferrando

My path led me to explore singing in different forms, from lyrical singing to classical Indian singing, then improvised jazz singing which I studied at the Conservatorium Van Amsterdam and at the Berklee College of Music (Boston), and finally at Circlesongs…
At the same time, I practice and teach other vibrational approaches: Systema, Nidra Yoga, Qigong and especially the Taoist tradition of Qigong Tuina which I studied for nine years in Beijing. Writing books in these areas hones my creative expression.
The circular night is for me a way of unifying these different aspects: voice, movement, energy, corporeality and spirituality, rhythm, instant composition and musical improvisation. Everything is there, everything is created in the moment and is transformed every moment.
